PS3 E-Z Chill Fan Controllers
The PS3 E-Z Chill series is designed to minimize the chances of the dreaded YLOD system failure. It does this by allowing you to set the fan speed above normal speeds, thus greatly reducing the heat/cool effect that causes the YLOD.

My Custom Modified PS3
This is just a little project I've been working on for a while. This mod uses an Arduino Pro Mini board to read thermal sensors at four locations. The Arduino then uses these readings to control the speed of the system fan, much more aggressively than the stock thermal control scheme. In addition to setting the fan speed, the Arduino also controls a readout mounted in the front of the system. All four temperatures as well as the fan speed are displayed. When system is off, the display is off, and completely invisible. Click the animation to find out more.
